Features:
The most common network cables for ethernet LAN computers is RJ45 type with many categories such as category 5, 6, 6e ...etc.
The phone line cable is the RJ11 type cable.
This multi network cable tester is designed to test both of these most commonly seen cables
· 10 LEDs to indicate the cable working conditions.
· Small compact design on this new latest version. No need to carry a bulky earlier edition tester with the same features.
· Keychain design for easier carrying around.
· Comes with 2 detachable modules, the master unit and remote unit, both with exact same layout of a row of the LEDs to indicating the cable working status.
Nice and essential for network troubleshooting
Most of time, even there are broken wires inside the network cable, the computer network status could still showing the netowork is connected. We cannot rely on the network cable status monitor at the windows lower right corner (next to the system time clock) to tell us the network cable is ok for sure. So this is a must have network cable tester to quick check the network cable first!
How to use:
This new multi network cable tester comes with 2 pairs of the RJ45 and RJ11 regaular LAN cable and Phone line cable connectors.
There are 2 detachable modules the master module and the remote module, each module comes with own LEDs.
When testing the Ethernet cable, just need to connect 1 end of the RJ45 network cable to the master unit RJ45 connector and then connect the other end of the RJ45 cable to the same RJ45 connector on the remote module, then press the touch power button on the master unit, both LEDs on the master and remote units will run from one to the other.
Just need to make sure all LEDs are running one by one in sequence, if there is any broken or wrong sequence LEDs status, the network cable has the broken wire(s) inside.
We can do this the same on checking the phone line cables as well.
The standard LAN cable and phone line cables comes with different sizes, Ethernet LAN cable is larger than the phone line cable, very easy to make the difference.
